Transportation

Our Transportation practice provides comprehensive legal services to clients in a variety of areas which often includes shipping and aviation.

Our founder was the inaugural Chairman of the Nigerian Maritime Law Association and whose leadership engendered a strong shipping practice. Indeed, our lawyers experience and reach has taken them as far as South Africa during the apartheid era when they had to support local counsel to carry out a ship arrest of a VLCC.

Our team of shipping lawyers offer substantial experience having acted since 1970 for most of the stakeholders in the maritime space, including ship owners, P&I clubs, banks, international agencies, charterers, insurance underwriters, salvage companies, governments and brokers. Where necessary we are able to mobilise an extensive network of legal contacts and experts and, as required, to manage them as ‘global counsel’ for a comprehensive service.
