The Firm is a law firm authorized and regulated by the Legal Practitioners Act, Cap L11, LFN 2004.

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

(a) “User” means any individual accessing or using the Site, or a company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Site, as applicable.

Except where expressly stated, all content published and made available on our Site is the property of the Firm. This includes, but not limited to images, texts, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of this Site.

Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

(a) The User hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the Firm and its respective officers, employees, agents and representatives harmless from and against liability for all claims, losses, damages and expenses including reasonable attorney fees to the extent such claims, losses, damages or expenses are caused by the use of the Site by the User, breach of the Site’s Terms and Conditions and/or wilful or negligent acts of the User.

(b) The Firm its respective officers, employees, agents and representatives, including shall not be liable to the User whether in contract, tort (including negligence) for breach of statutory duty, damages, expenses including reasonable attorney fees arising under or in connection with the use of this Site.

Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Dispute Resolution

(a) Subject to any exceptions specified in these Terms and Conditions, if the User and the Firm are unable to amicably resolve any disputes in respect of these Terms and Conditions, the User and the Firm agree to refer such dispute to binding mediation in accordance with the Mediation Rules in force at the Lagos State Multi-Door Courthouse Mediation Centre (LMDC).

(b) Notwithstanding any other provisions of these Terms and Conditions, the User and the Firm agree that the right to institute an action or seek injunctive reliefs in a competent court of jurisdiction.

Severability

In the event that any term, condition or provision of these Terms and Conditions or any part thereof is declared invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such terms, conditions or provisions shall be severed from the Terms and Conditions. The remaining terms, conditions or provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way the Firm operates the Site and the way the Site is used by Users. The Firm shall notify Users of any changes to the Terms and Conditions through a notice on the Site.
